Anxiety is a mental illness generally characterized by feelings of sadness, loneliness, low self-esteem, fear, and guilt. If you are a person suffering from anxiety attacks, the following mind empowerment techniques can be used to get relief from anxiety and panic attacks.

Simple Meditation Techniques to Ease Anxiety:

Anxiety starts only by a thought. Anxiety is triggered mostly by negative thoughts which drain the energy of a person. Simple relaxation techniques can ease your anxiety and brighten your mood. Anxiety cure is a gradual process.  Guided meditation provides significant relief from anxiety and panic attacks. Guided meditation helps in anxiety treatment. Anxiety cure involves both pharmacological as well as the use of relaxation techniques.

Meditation Technique 1:

Allow the anxious and fearful thoughts to flow. As they flow, without stressing yourself too much gently try to watch your own thoughts as an observer. You are not going to react in anyway. Your work now is just to watch your thoughts come and go. Do not contemplate on these passing thoughts. Within few minutes you will get the power to manage anxious thoughts and you will feel relaxed and peaceful.

Just continue to watch your thoughts as an observer without being judgmental. You will soon realize that the speed of the anxious thoughts will reduce considerably and they will come to a manageable level. Now, you will regain your insight and your mood will slowly brighten.

Meditation Technique 2:

If you are not able to achieve any significant relief after practicing the first technique for at least 10 minutes, you can try the second technique. Here, you have to take the role of a counselor and give counseling to your mind. This is a very effective technique.

Now you have to give counseling to your mind and help the mind come out of the anxiety episode. Remember, you are now a counselor to give guidance to your mind. Mostly, anxiety and panic attacks are the result of some underlying fear in the subconscious.

You have to address the fear that is triggering the anxious thoughts. This is a powerful way to defeat anxiety.

Mostly, thoughts of anxiety try to persist longer and your mission initially is to decrease the time they persist in your mind. The fear that is lying deep inside your subconscious may become visible to you after some digging.

This is the time to break the fear, but this can be done only through positive affirmations. Affirmations are energetic thoughts that when introduced repeatedly in the conscious mind becomes your belief after some time and would replace the fear-based belief causing anxiety and panic attacks.

Fear-based beliefs generally may be something like "I will lose this because of my behavior", "I will not be able to secure this because of my nature." If you notice, there is a self-hurting pattern in the above thoughts.

Self-hurting beliefs destroy a person's natural self-respect and as a result the person may feel guilty and may get anxiety. Positive affirmations have to be repeated frequently with intermediate gaps. This will slowly strengthen the mind on an inner level and the negativity will finish.

Do not lose hope. Keep practicing the above 2 meditation techniques. This will empower your mind and as your mind becomes stronger you will naturally get relief from anxiety and panic attacks.

Your mind will become so powerful that as soon as it senses some fear creeping in, it will destroy those thoughts naturally. By following these meditation techniques, you can get relief from anxiety and panic attacks.
